Happy Friday, everyone! Once again, we’ve made it to the end of another week. We’re entering the “dog days of summer”. The next long weekend isn’t until the end of August – almost eight weeks away. The days are going to be hot, and the nights are going to be humid. Even in Alaska. That means that the weekends are sacred places, and we need to make the most of them. Here’s what I am looking forward to this weekend:
Tropical Storm/Hurricane Barry
Call me crazy for wanting a hurricane, but Barry is expected to start to move through my area by the end of the weekend. This means a lot of rain. As a result, that means an opportunity for me to continue to work through the 10,000+ pictures stored on my hard drive. Hopefully there’s good weather on Saturday so I can take my camera out and use the new lenses… and then spend Sunday developing the pictures!
Baseball’s “Second Half”
The All-Star Game was earlier this week, so baseball is getting back into the swing of things (bad pun, I know). My favorite team, the St. Louis Cardinals, returns to action tonight and I may fire the game up on my computer and watch it while doing other things.
That Time I Got Reincarnated as a Slime
If the weather on Sunday is rainy, I’ll also have a chance to wrap up this series. I’m well over halfway through it and it’s been an enjoyable ride so far. Amazingly enough the series has kept away from a lot of the tropes and the fanservice has been largely minimal. Plot is what makes this series worth watching, in my opinion, and I look forward to seeing how things progress.
